About Dr. Fran DiDomenicis

Experience

I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 35 years experience helping individuals and couples with a variety of concerns such as Relationships – Communication; Affairs; Separation and Divorce; Stress; Anxiety; Panic; Depression; and Addiction Recovery.

Counseling Style

My approach is informal and active. I listen intently, care deeply, and use everything I can from my training, experience, and personality to help clients create change in their lives. I am active in offering suggestions and possible solutions, and I encourage clients to become better skilled in managing their lives and relationships. I call upon clients to actively participate in behavioral and lifestyle changes, as well as readings and other activities between therapy sessions. After all, as the saying goes, “If you keep doing the same things over and over, you’ll keep getting the same results”.

I believe that wellness involves the whole person — physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. And healing must take place in those areas to relieve suffering and find happiness.

Counseling Approaches

I use a variety of techniques, both traditional and innovative: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Couples Counseling and Relationship EnhancementEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)Energy Psychology/ Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
